By absorbing large amounts of thermal energy, StokShield acts as a protective shield that safeguard nearby cells from the effects of a failing one. It also resists particle blasts, supports venting and pressure relief, and helps maintain the structural integrity of the battery pack in critical situations.

StokShield is typically used between cells and modules, as top cover protection, or for wrapping BusBars, offering versatile integration into various battery designs.
